How to care for a leather bag and wallet
Keep it dry, out of strong sun and away from oils and perfumes, wipe it with a soft dry cloth, and condition it sparingly. Good leather needs less care than most people think.
Everyday
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- If it gets wet, blot - do not rub - and let it air-dry away from radiators.
- Keep perfume, alcohol, oils and hand cream away from the surface.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Stuff bags lightly with paper so they keep their shape, and avoid plastic covers that trap moisture.
Conditioning
Use a leather-specific product only when the leather looks dry, and test it first on a hidden spot. Over-conditioning darkens leather and softens structure.
