Guide
Wallet or cardholder in a mostly cashless life
If you carry fewer than five cards and rarely use cash, a cardholder is enough and keeps your pocket flat. If you still carry notes, receipts and several cards, a slim bifold wallet is the better choice.
Paying by phone has changed what men need in their pocket. Many still carry a thick wallet out of habit, which spoils the line of trousers and jackets and is uncomfortable to sit on.
A simple test
- Empty your wallet and keep only what you used in the last month.
- Up to four cards and no cash: a simple cardholder.
- A few cards and a little cash: a cardholder with a money clip.
- Several cards, notes and receipts: a bifold wallet.
In the House of Azuro collection
Enzo (€39) is the simplest: four card slots, no clip. Dante (€49) adds a central money clip and two slip sections. Nero (€79) is the full bifold wallet with stacked card slots and a full-width note compartment.
