Crossbody or sling bag: which suits you?
A crossbody hangs at the hip and holds a little more; a sling sits higher and closer to the body and holds only the essentials. Choose by how much you carry and how discreet you want the bag to be.
The difference
Both are worn across the body on one strap. A crossbody usually rests at the hip and is easy to open while walking. A sling is worn higher, across the chest or back, and stays tighter to the body - useful in crowds and when travelling.
Choose a crossbody if
- You carry a phone, wallet, keys and a few extras such as a fragrance or a pen.
- You want quick access without taking the bag off.
Choose a sling if
- You carry only a phone, a cardholder and keys.
- You want the bag to almost disappear under a jacket.
In the House of Azuro collection
Bellini (€99, 16 × 23 × 10 cm) is the compact crossbody; Ravello (€99, 23 × 28 × 6 cm) is the slimmer, upright crossbody with a little more room; Vieri (€89, 17 × 30 × 8 cm) is the sling. All three are genuine leather in Black and Brown.
